I have essential tremors and my husband has Parkinson's and it is time to look for useful aids** A: I use these with my students for both painting, drawing, and writing. they will fit crayons, paintbrushes, paint daubers, markers, pencils and pens and styluses. **Q: Would this be a good tool to help a child with missing fingers to hold items?** A: My son has difficulty maintaining a grasp, which is why we purchased. I'm thinking that this could help your child though. The silicone handle can fit up over the palm and may help. The only flaw is that these handles are all different sizes and my guess is you would need to use one that is pretty snug so it wouldn't fall off.
