I'm taking 1 Bergamot cap twice a day, Cholestoff 2 caps twice before lunch and dinner, and one Artichoke cap a day. My doctor is impressed. I refused to take a statin fearing the side effects. Hello all. Here is my cholesterol story. Starting Dec 6, 2021 my cholesterol number as follows: Total Chol=233, Trig=83, HDL=47 CHOL/HDL Ratio=5 and LDL=169 These numbers were not good, a wake-up call. I did not want to go on statins due to the side effects caused by CoQ10 blocking effects of statins. So my doctor suggested taking "CholestOff Plus". I still take CholestOff with meals that are high in cholesterol. I got my blood work done again on May 4, 2022 and my numbers went down as follows: Total Chol=214, Trig=94, HDL=51, Chol/HDL Ratio=4.2, LDL=144. This is better but still not great. So I did some research and found that Artichoke Leaf Extract and Bergamot Extract both can lower cholesterol. Shortly after my May 4 lab test, I started taking two Nature's Way Artichoke Leaf Extract pills in the evening. Then about a month ago I started taking Jarrow Formulas Citrus Bergamot 500 mg twice a day. Here are my latest numbers from Aug 4, Total Chol=185, Trig=88, HDL=50, CHOL/HDL=3.7, and LDL=117. Also, I did change my diet some by cutting out egg yolks and eating more plant-based meat and cheese. So with the combination of CholestOff, Artichoke Leaf Extract, and Bergamot extract, my numbers have improved a lot: Total Chol dropped 48 points, Trig dropped 6 points, HDL raised 3 points, Chol/HDL drop 1.3 percent and LDL dropped 52 points. I am going to continue with all three products because they are working. Update: another surprising discovery is my gut is working much better. Use to get brain fog if I got hungry. Now my stomach even growls which never did much before. Also, not sure if it is related but was getting really horrible stomach cramps for hours. The last one was 10 hours straight!
