This Melissa and Doug house ticks all the boxes. We had a task on our hands to find a house that wasn't pink (why do toy manufacturers feel the need to gender toys????????), but this is perfect. The size is good too. It was a little bit fiddly to assemble in places, but I managed to put this together on my own (it would be a lot easier with two people) and it is sturdy. The instructions were clear. My son absolutely loves it and plays with it daily. The open nature means he can easily reach in and move the people/furniture around. It's also lightweight, so he can move it around his room depending on how he's playing with it. He plays really imaginatively with it. A wonderful, traditional toy that we've really got our money's worth on.
