The tea gets stuck in them and it is difficult to get out. Kudos for their responsiveness and concern! It is nice to see a company take such an interest with an inexpensive item- something which many manufacturers/sellers of even bigger-ticket items often will not do. They even contacted me personally. While this product was not optimal for me, I would not hesitate to deal with Fusion Zen again in the future. ]I was expecting these to be bigger based on dimensions listed in the description. In reality, they are only 2" tall by 1.5" in diameter at the bottom, and 2" in diameter at the top. If you're just making a single, small cup of tea, that is sufficient to hold a teaspoon or so of tea, while allowing enough room for the tea to expand properly. Any more than that, and there is not sufficient room for the tea to expand as it should to be properly diffused. Obviously, this did not fit my requirements for making a 14-16oz. cup of tea. It's good for a 6oz. cup.If the above were the only issue, I would still give it a higher rating, but there is more (or should I say less? :D):These things are not made of a mesh screen, like a typical tea-ball is. They are made from solid metal which has been drilled with many tiny holes. Looking at it in your hand, it almost looks solid, but hold it up to the light, and it almost looks like mesh, the holes are so fine. Should work fine, no? No. Despite the fact that the holes are tiny, some pieces of tea leaves always manage to end up in the cup.AND, for some reason, they just don't allow as good a steeping as a normal tea-ball/infuser. I just can't get as strong a cup of tea with these as I do with my tea ball- even if I add extra tea, and let it steep longer. I let my Oolong seep in the mug for a few minutes and then usually take it out and re-steep with a second cup of water half an hour later. Clasps shut neat and tight. Simple to use and simple to clean. Little string dangles outside the cup and I can wrap once around handle and bend the end piece a little so that I can swoop it through one of the circles and then string is secured around my handle. I even use this steeper with my travel mug by just letting it drop to the bottom before closing the travel mug and heading out to class.
