I messaged the buyer, I did receive a quick response which I appreciated, however, I was informed that they have manufactured MERV 6 filters for a while now and that they should not cause any problems to my unit. I am very upset, if they have not been manufacturing MERV 6 filters, then why are they still being advertised and are still an option to purchase? If I would have known that, I would not have purchased them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sweet spot in pleated A/C filters, well made *by D***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2017* These are about the perfect balance. Fiberglass filters are flimsy, and especially in a large size like this, get sucked into the plenum because there's not enough supporting the center. Second, they don't filter much dust until they're almost full. Lastly, 20x30x1 is hard to even find in fiberglass, probably for the first reason.These AFB Bronze Pleated filters are excellent, because they're sturdy and give a good degree of filtering, but because they're MERV 6, rather than some of the really high ratings that Pleated filters can reach, they aren't so densely woven that they put excessive strain on the fan and compressor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MERV 8 is the new MERV 6! *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2019* So I’ve ordered these filters a few times before - always AFB Bronze MERV 6 Pleated.
