There were only a few downsides that I've seen so far. The hair wasn't a medium brown it actually had alot of red in it (more of a auburn color) so I had to dye it to match my hair which has alot of natural red highlights from the sun. There was a few thick strings that I had to cut off and a bunch of random little cotton like tangles in the hair that I had to cut or pull out. You can infact straighten these I've had to twice because after wearing them all day they do wave quite a bit, but that was after wearing them for 18 hours straight in the heat both times. They look natural in my hair and quite a bit of people didn't know they were extensions until I told them. I love them!! Truly worth it to buy these! And I know quite a few reviewers are saying that these aren't 18" but mine are and they go down to my waist. I'm very happy with the length, it's what I wanted. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not GREAT, but not as bad as everyone is saying *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2014* I wouldn't say that these extensions are "awful" like some people are saying. I read the reviews before I purchased, and decided to give it a shot. For first time extension users-I can understand the frustration. They may not be aware of the thickness of their hair, and how many extensions they personally need for it to look natural. I have worn so many different types of extensions that I knew I would need at least two sets in order to make my hair look full and real.My only complaint is they are on the thing side towards the bottom (as said in most other reviews), however MINE DO straighten AND curl. I can even wave and crimp them...so not sure if others flat irons are not hot enough (I use an ultra chi), and don't have any issues curling them.CONS: Tend to get a little frayed at the end after a few days from using the straightener. Also, didn’t take to dye THAT well. It still dyed, but not as naturally and natural hair should.Overall, this extensions aren't GREAT, but they aren't terrible either. They are the quality that you would expect for the price. I would continue to buy these in the future if I felt like I needed to replace the ones I have currently. My own hair is about to my chin and shorter in the back. I have these extensions and I just purchased a second pair as well. My advice is to take them to your hair dresser and have you hair dresser cut these to blend well. I will need two sets because of the length of my hair. After the extensions are cut to blend apply different colored ribbon to indicate where each piece should be placed. $50 for 14 tracks and a really natural look is well worth it.
