I contacted Timber Tuff and they said the hardware was back ordered. Timber Tuff said they would ship it when they got it, in about 6 weeks, that was 7 months ago. Good luck **Q: Can you only cut individual 2" slabs if the log is wider than 6" after cutting off the sides?** A: Yes. Just make an L shaped support of 2x4 screwed to each end of the log, about level with log top. Attach guide 2x6 to the L shape. Move 2x6 latterally to create the width board you want. Stability of log while cutting very important. **Q: Will this fit over a true 6" guide** A: I use mine with a 5/4 x6 deck board (i.e. 1"x5 1/2" true dimension) so I'd judge the short answer as "no". I like the 5/4 deck board because it's a bit more flexible than a 2x6 and will bend down into and over valleys and humps. (I use deck screws (they don't project above the surface) and shims to secure it and square it up because . **Q: Mine has one screw hole each side where the device contacts the 2 x 6 sides. Two screws go there but no instruction why. What is the purpose?** A: I have the same dilemma. I noticed the holes as well and the set screws included fit in the mentioned holes. No idea as to what the would be for.
