Review: I started two of my great granddaughters on the "Fancy Nancy" books several years ago, and they are now 8 and 6 yrs. old respectively and both still love the Nancy character! They get them for their birthdays and for Christmas each year, and the books are always welcomed with glee. I actually found a "Fancy Nancy" Tee Shirt and gown for the 6-year old recently and purchased it for her 6-year old birthday that has just passed {in January 2011} and she loved it! I will continue to buy and give the books to the girls until they outgrow them. Most little girls love the themes that the books touch upon, and I think it helps them to acclimate themselves for life at their age, like the "First Grader Book" and the "Loose Tooth" one. The girls know what to expect before they have to actually do it and it takes some of the fear and anxiety out of normal life events for them. They realize it is something that all kids their age go through and is a natural part of growing up so they are prepared when it is their time to experience these events in their growing into "big girls" phases. I highly recommend them.
