Some other reviews here were downright unkind and made this DVD seem like something you wouldn't even use as a coaster.Well, to each his own, I guess...and we all look for and expect different things.This DVD shows an intimate performance - although in a large hall, it's C de B solo, so there's no band or other band members to hide behind and he comes across as very candid and truly enjoying performing solo. It's remarkable to also see how strong an instrumentalist (i.e. piano and guitar player) he is to be able to carry a full concert without anything else in the form of musical backing. I like how, at one point, he wanders around the audience, singing a medley of songs. To some that would be cheesy, self-absorbed, comical or even 'what-the-hell-is-he-doing??' (as evidenced by some reviews here), but I thought it a very appreciative and humble way to connect with his audience, as if to say, 'Thank You for coming to the show. I am not up here and you down there; we are all together so let's have some fun together.'There's also a bit where it shows his fans getting ready for the show and also C de B talking about his love of wine. Well, why not?
