You get 12 duplicates, all of the metallics are duplicated. When asked, the vendor said,"yes, 2 trays of metallic. You use metallic more." Well I like the glitter pens better. They are really smooth with great coverage. Rather than double metallics, I would like to have seen a few more colors, such as brown.While the storage trays are handy, I wouldn't exactly think of the case as a storage case, more like "packaging".All that being said, I'm still pleased with the pens.
