I let her do it for quite a while, even tho I knew it would get too hot for her. She was on and off it, but it really would just get too hot. So I finally broke down and bought a pet mat and wrapped a couple shirts around it. That mat was a pet, K&H 15.75x25.5 and sold on Amazon for 36$. My old cat can lay on it all day without burning up. This plant product wasn't intended for that much heat, it did ok, but works better for the purpose it was designed for.
