But they both should have a cartridge slot. This product is a cartridge with 196 classic games on it **Q: do games on the cartridge save separately or is there one shared save?** A: Yes **Q: Does this cartridge work with Genesis 3 system?** A: Features & details Works perfectly in an original Model 1 or 2 Sega Genesis, Nomad, or Mega Drive system. Mini Gen, Retron 3, Retro Trio, Genesis 3 and RetroAD systems also work perfectly. ATGames systems will NOT work.
