POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer was formulated and developed in our own laboratories due to the demand for a high-tech sealer impervious to all fuels, including Stage II fuels which have a high alcohol content. POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer has superior strength and fuel resistance. POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer stops rust, corrosion, and fuel leaks. Sample repair with a before and after image of a rusty leaking gas tank Directions Before: If the tank has old failed sealer or coating inside, it should be removed with a coating stripping agent or sandblasting before starting the repair process. Step 1: Mix 1 quart POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser with 1 quart of hot water. This solution will be used to remove any gum, varnish or sludge from the inside of the tank. Step 2: Pour the entire bottle of POR-15 Metal Prep to dissolve rust, coat the tank with zinc phosphate, and etch the metal for better adhesion of the sealer. Step 3: After the tank is clean, drain the tank and rinse thoroughly with water. Let the tank dry. When totally dry, pour in the entire can of POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer. Step 4: After all surfaces have been coated, drain the tank for about an hour to remove excess sealer from the tank. Step 5: Once repaired, use fuel preservation and stabilizer to keep your entire fuel system in proper working order and to avoid "stale gas" problems in your future!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Take your time !!

The tank rehab kit is from POR15. I read the instructions about 4 times and watched some YouTube videos. I followed the instructions meticulously. If I made a mistake maybe I did not slosh the final coating around long enough. I did roll it around thoroughly for a 1/2 hour but some areas look to have a thinner coating than others. Granted it is hard to see in there. The instructions did not specify a time for the final coat. Also it would be nice to know when it’s going to start to thicken. I thought I had 30 min to an hour but in reality it was about 2 1/2 hours before the final coating started to thicken. Had I known that I would have kept rolling it around in there for a full hour or so before draining off the excess. However, I am happy with the product and I’m sure it will work out ok. Also I have a jerry can to do and I should have done both at the same time. I could easily have poured the chemicals from one tank to the next and done both with the one kit, but unfortunately that did not occur to me at the time. There was a lot of the coating left (2/3) over when I poured out the excess.
