I figured the double-walled construction would keep their wine from getting warm as fast as it tends to in this FL weather. The advantages are that cold or hot liquids stay cool or warm much longer than in regular glasses or mugs. And with hot drinks, the outside isn't hot, so you don't burn your hands. Only drawback is that they are large and may be hard to hold for those will smaller hands. I like this glass so much i purchased the 4 pack beer glasses. the glass does feel a tad fragile and light but that doesnt prevent me from using them all the time.
