Electrical work is not for diy beginners. It's dangerous if not done correctly. **Q: What is the warranty on this light?** A: In the fine print, it says 5 years. Save all the paperwork that came with fixtures including copy of Amazon invoice and the box they were shipped in if you think a return might be necessary. As for me, if they conk out, I plan to just purchase replacements. So far the fixtures are doing just what the seller said they'd do and I'm very satisfied. They put out a lot of good, clean white lite. **Q: What color is the housing?** A: Gray shell with a transparent front cover **Q: Is the light supposed to flash on and off before it shuts off for the daytime?** A: My light also started flashing on/off after I installed it under a carport. After reading a few of the answers to this problem (reflected light from an eve or other close surface), I taped a piece of white electric tape over the photocell. Works great now.
