I have some very random diameter yarn so far, haha. I definitely feel like it's a great value for learning! I was using too much, I also reused some badly spun pieces for more of getting the motions and stuff down better. I definitely feel like this is something many can do with practice and highly recommend using this as your starter. If you also need a niddy noddy and don't want to spend a lot till you know this is for you Etsy has quite a few 3d printed options. I ran my hand down the shaft and used my nail to smooth any rough spots, there was only 2 little snags which smoothed easily on the spindle. Awesome value highly recommend, love the roving colors I got, very pretty. I'm sure they're random as to what you'll receive. After I get this down I'm definitely gonna look into undyed and then try my hand at dyeing as well but yeah for practice and learning this is great it has everything you need aside from a niddy noddy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for beginners *by D***B on Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2018* Great deal, shipped fast and arrived well-packed for travel (spindle protected). The spindle itself seems to have good weight to it. It's nothing fancy, but it is well put together and should do the job just fine. A nice well built and well weighted spindle and soft, easy to learn with wool. I got a rich purple and a soft lavender for my two colors. The instructions are kind of hard to parse together but they have a URL to a great youtube video.
