These are quality valves and have a good seal of them. I already notice a difference my radiators are much more efficient. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked fine on OLD radiators *by E***E on November 28, 2021* I installed four of these on hydronic radiators in a house I moved into that was built around 1900. I'm sure the radiator valves were original, and they were completely non functional. I took a chance, and installed these without removing the original spud from the radiator. Three out of four mated up properly with no leaks. The fourth had the tiniest of leaks (like a drop every four hours) and I had to fiddle with that to get it right. Having adjustable radiator valves transformed the performance of my heating system and got rid of a huge imbalance in temperature from upstairs to downstairs. Yes, if you haven't done this before, it can be intimidating, and you need a couple of good pipe wrenches and a length of pipe to get the proper leverage, but these ancient valves came off with no damage and I did not need to heat the joints up with a torch.
