Well worth the money. ### ⭐ Stopped working on second print. Customer support is dreadful *by A***R on 17 July 2023* I so wanted to love this. It took a couple of hours of assembly and setting up but the first print (from their SD card) came out flawlessly and the touch screen UI is a joy to use. The second print (also their file) stopped half way through due to a runaway thermal error. Since then it won't print and the plastic has fused to the bed.I contacted them for a replacement or help but all I got was an email with an attached text file with two URLs in for me to download and flash new firmware and no more guidance. Basic diagnosis and reference to support forums suggests that the problem is hardware related and won't be fixed with a software patch. As per my email to them, the box was dropped by the delivery guy and I half expected some physical damage.But regardless of whether I have an issue with hardware, software, or both, flashing new firmware is certainly not a beginner level thing to expect customers to do.Had this been one of other suggestions on how to remedy this (eg: we could also offer a refund, or replace the part, or if you want to try a software update to see if we can get you printing again quickly call us and we'll talk you through it) it wouldnt be so bad. Heck.. even if they emailed me step by step intructions and the firmware file rather than sticking two copy/paste file download URLs in a text file and calling it done, that would be an improvement. And I'll still need to replace the bed cover with the fused filament on even if I did get this working myself.If this is a problem that people are experiencing that is software related, then shipping a product that throws thermal errors due to the software seems at worst pretty shabby when they could ship with software that works. If this is a genuine/unfortunate problem that they couldnt have fixed (eg: a software error slipped through and they couldnt recall units, etc) I'd at least expect a note on the product listing and some pre-prepared instructions that are easy to follow. I'm sure lots of people would accept some discount in the price in return for them having to do a well explained software fix or be happy to follow along an instructional video to update the system before the first print.Other than that - and in fairness - the parts are solid, the control board is nice, the interface is lovely and it is capable of producing great prints when operational. The assembly instructions are picture based and step by step (nice) but poorly printed so it can be hard to follow confidently if you havent done this before. That said there are some wonderful youtube videos that take you through the whole process. Each step in assembly requires its own parts, and those parts are helpfully bagged separately and labelled not just with the part info, but also which step you use them on. Hat tip for that... it's a nice touch. And there's a spare bag of screws in case any are missing or you damage any during assembly. Also a nice touch. All the tools you need for assembly are in the box, as well as a SD card, cables, and adaptors. The slicing software you'll need is free to download.I went with BIQU as the printer was on offer and the components seem to be standard parts that you can buy separately for DIY printers, so it should play nicely with things like klipper, and be easy enough to upgrade later.I'm sure my experience is rare, but based on their support response, bricking on second print, and that I now have a very large paperweight, I'll be buying a different brand next time.If they sorted out the above problems, I'd have no hesitancy recommending it based on the short time that it did work.
