For use in the shower my remedy to this is just take a little of my liquid shower soap and apply to the mirror, enough for a thin coat, DO NOT RINSE OFF. Reapply if needed.As for the set, you get two mirrors which I did not realize when ordering. The actual body of the mirror seems to be plastic with reflective coating applied. The functioning of the mirror is actually very good, no distortion and very clear, which is fairly unusual for this type of product. All in all, a good kit, as long as you know its limitations. I'd had tons of shower mirrors in the past, but this system works great for me. I keep the suction cup on the glass shower door and just bring the mirror over from a shower shelf when I want to use it. Hold it under the water about six seconds on each side and then it doesn't fog up at all during my shave. If it starts to fog because the "weather conditions" in your shower changed (open door causing a breeze, you turned up the heat, whatever), just hold it under the water again for a bit. Because of this, it's not getting any soap scum from general cleaning, staying pretty clear.
