I ordered the black version and it fits my waste (40") with plenty to spare; I just feed through the next belt hoop. The strap it'self is good quality and durable - I've been wearing it for a while now and there's no threading present. The width is not too slim, but not too big that it's been difficult to feed through any of my jeans or shorts. The clasp is strengthened plastic, I've not experienced any wear and it holds the strap in place without slipping. There's a certain technique to using the clamp which can be a little frustrating at times whereby I end up making it tighter a few times before it releases from the clamp.
