It's February and I live in the mountains of North Carolina so I can't imagine it was heat during shipping. And, given it's Winter here in the mountains the humidity in my home is very low around 30%. So I'm not sure why this turned into a paste. I would use it but it's a bit smelly and I don't know if that's how it's supposed to smell and I don't trust it due to the moisture issue.
