Sleeping on it and then leaving it alone the next day also helped it rise! Don't believe the image though, the top doesnt get that fluffy. The fumes it lets out though...they're pretty interesting? Like it doesnt feel like you're breathing in something but it's also not great, it is weirdly sweet smelling. It still releases fumes now and again, especially if I get in and out of bed a lot. I just light a candle and open the window and things fade. I get a good night's sleep though on this mattress and it is comfortable. I find the mattress to be REALLY FIRM, much more firm than the description describes. If I had known just how firm it was, I would have never purchased it.
