It will also make a tomato paste if you only use a minimum amount of water. I have used it as an addition to soups to add tomato flavor. **Q: Aproximatly how many cups of powder are in this 8 oz bag?** A: The package label says that a serving size is 1/2 tablespoons and that there are 448 servings per package. There would then be 224 tablespoons in the package. At 16 tablespoons per cup that would convert to 14 cups. That is obviously wrong. The package cannot contain much more that one cup of powder. **Q: Is your powder chunky like the picture? I’d like that.** A: The tomato powder is not chunky.
