(In the previous versions, the locking tabs were made of hard smooth plastic tabs which gets eroded with time and the handles could not hold the plates)Length: They are long dumbbells. You might find some exercises would be a bit awkwardly performed. But with some maneuvers, you will get use to it.Changing weights: very smooth to change. Keep in mind that you jump by 2-3 kg in each change. That's a big jump for some exercises.
