Or can I put any 3 pin switch into it?** A: Any 3-pin switch should work. if it has a compatible profile to the kailhs (like cherry) **Q: Is the evga logo removable?** A: Yes. You'll have to take apart the keyboard (screws under the rubber feet). The block of plastic is screwed into the metal plate. A bit of plastic will stick out from the bottom part of the case. There will be two small holes left, but that's considered an improvement. I would make sure the keyboard works correctly for a couple of months before doing so, it would likey void the warranty. I didn't modify mine, but had plans to do so - but my Z15 was defective: would not come on - without replugging the USB plug - which is a pain when trying to sign into Windows, requiring a virtual keyboard. Yeah, that got old the first time. If your get a Z15 that works, it's a better value than the other top brands since its hot-swappable with decent keyboard software. (Logi, Razor, Corsair, steal series - most/or all of their models are not Hotswappable) Be advised, the Speed Liner switches are very sensitive making typing difficult. Tactile or Click may type better. Why? EVGA = 1.1mm Actuation of the key vs 1.7mm~2.0mm for most others. **Q: How to set backlight color to plain white on a non-Windows OS?** A: While you can't seem to modify the settings outside of the Windows program that I'm aware of, it does seem to retain your settings onboard when used with other platforms. You don't need to boot up the program every time within Windows or otherwise. If you have a spare Windows machine, or a buddy with one, it's a hassle but you'll be fine. Personally I've set mine to a very dim red, just enough to read keys at night but totally ignoreable for me otherwise.
