Which is exactly what I'm doing. I told my boss it would work, so I had to make it work! I print the labels, put them over a pair of scissors and then open the scissors so that it stretches the shrink tube opening wider. Even then, there is no way it would fit over a RJ45 with a boot on it. I'm using bootless no-snag cables from Monoprice and am having to cut the no snag part of the cable off to get these to fit over the RJ45 head. So, the flattened tube width of '1/4 inch' labels is 0.228 inches; thus the circumference of the tubing is 2 x 0.228" = 0.455".
