The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C includes one reversible USB Type-C connector and one standard USB (Type-A) connector, so you can easily transfer files between smartphones, tablets and computers, freeing up space when you need it. Review: Washed and Dried!! - I initially bought two of these USB-C/USB-A dual thumb drives to use as backups for my data. I like them because they are compact, reliable, fast, and very convenient. I like that it's easy to carry around in my purse since it's so small. Also, my laptop has a USB-C port and two USB-A ports, so I really like the flexibility that I can use this thumb drive in any of those. Everything was going along fine using these for my regular data backups until....I put one of these thumb drives in my pocket and forgot about it, and sent it through the clothes washer and also put it into the dryer and "dried" it. I heard the clacking around in the dryer and...there it was. And when I took it out of the dryer, it was HOT. At that point, I decided to immediately buy an identical replacement for that one, and not take a chance on continuing to use it. I didn't want to risk that the washed one would fail on me sooner or later, have shorter lifespan, or loose any data. After receiving the third one (the replacement) and doing my regular backup onto it, I then decided to try to the one that I inadvertently washed and dried and....it works perfectly with no loss of data. At least so far. So for now, I have THREE of these and am keeping the washed one as an additional backup thumb drive. I really like the convenience of these thumb drives, the dual USB-C/USB-A ends, the large amount of data that they hold, and the reliability. I don't recommend that you send them through the washer and dryer like I did, but if you do so, well, now you know that it will probably continue to work! I recommend this thumb drive and am very happy with it! I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I'm assuming most people know more than I do about these drives. I wouldn't buy one that was a well known brand. SanDisk has great support and a great app for managing the storage. It was exactly what I needed and does exactly what I wanted. I wanted something I could use for my phone and this worked perfectly. I would purchase another one when needed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: wait, does this have both a type c and a type a connector?**
A: Yes if you slide it one way, the Type C connector is revealed. Then when pushed the other way the Type A connector is revealed.

**Q: Is there a way to attach this to your key chain?**
A: There is a tiny cutout on the rear which presumably is intended for a (thin) keychain or thread loop. But it's so small as to be useless in most cases; I have a lanyard clip attachment with super thin bungee cord to thread onto things like this, and it doesn't fit. I tried to attach the very small split ring from my Swiss Army knife on it, and it was pretty much impossible. You will be hard-pressed to find something which can attach to this. It makes me regret picking this model, as I personally need something that can be clipped on and off from a lanyard.

**Q: Will this lock (with a click) in the center, closed position?**
A: Yes, but it doesn't lock outside of the center very well, I have to hold it from moving to put it into the usb port.

**Q: Will this flash drive fit side by side next to the power cable on a late 2016 MBP? Apple have given very little room it seems to me.**
A: Yes, it should fit right next to the power cables as long as the switch is facing you instead of facing the power cable.

I bought this a while ago but I'm going through my purchases and wanted to leave a review for this item. I'm assuming most people know more than I do about these drives. I wouldn't buy one that was a well known brand. SanDisk has great support and a great app for managing the storage. It was exactly what I needed and does exactly what I wanted. I wanted something I could use for my phone and this worked perfectly. I would purchase another one when needed.
