Company has changed ingredients : ( *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2016* This product WAS truly THE BEST, completely fabulous and a genuine rare find (key word "WAS"); it was 100% USDA Certified Organic, and had the USDA logo on their packaging, until recently when they changed their product ingredients. It is no longer 100% Organic, but now listed as "100% Organic and Natural Ingredients" (which let's face it, "natural" does not really mean much, as there are many poisons or things that you should not ingest that are "natural"- not to mention more than a little bit misleading since placing the word Organic after 100% make one think it is just 100% Organic, which it is not). Lipsticks that are kind-of, sort-of, mostly organic are dime-a-dozen. There are tons of companies that offer the classic "organic AND Natural" mix- lots of great organic ingredients intermixed with stuff you really should not use, or definitely must avoid. They not only took out several ingredients that were certified organic and now use the non-organic version of the ingredient (ie, turmeric powder, carnuba wax) but they also added additional ingredients that were not previously used (ie. titanium dioxide, iron oxides). They could have at least used a non-GMO Vitamin E when they decided to eliminate some ingredients and add it in their place. {The photos below show the New version at the bottom of each of the photos, and the Old version is at the top of the photos- just as an example. The specific color used for the photo example is Spice, but I found this same situation with their other colors} I had previously bought dozens of this brand- and it was also bought for my tween and teen daughters. They had great colors (for adults and teens), went on great, stayed on, loads of compliments. The original was a 5 star plus product. Truly LOVED it! Sadly, I will now have to find a new company. ### ⭐ Bad Customer Service *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2017* I first ordered the plum berry color and enjoyed it. It is not cheap, but appeared vegan and quality. Then, I ordered the rosebud, and it arrived broken. I tried to seal the lipstick together, but it was not strong enough to meld together, and when I attempted to lightly apply it, it broke apart again. Well, since my first experience was good, I decided to contact the company and send them a picture of the broken lipstick with the details of the damaged product. A few days later, I opened my e-mail only to receive what I thought was a response to my complaint, but instead a letter asking me to give a great rating to the product! No mention of my complaint! I wrote to them a second time, asking them to respond to my query regarding the dam paged roduct, and again I received the exact same response, asking me to give a great rating to the product if I liked it! I don't know what is up with their company, but I would rather go on Etsy and buy vegan products from independent sellers instead of buy Lotus products if they are so disrespectful as to not even address customer complaint, then have the gall to ask for a positive rating! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pouty Port Wine for the Win! *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2016* Ordered this product in "Port Wine" while revamping my entire make-up collection to cleaner, more natural products. Other reviewers are correct, it is not as dark as you might expect, but it is nothing to scoff at either. I LOVE the color, so does hubby.Keep in mind this is a more natural product with no artificial binders, so if you order during the warmer months, it might arrive broken as mine did. I let the seller know when they asked (I was fine using what arrived - it wasn't totally smashed, just a bit wobbly), and they shipped out a new one, no hassles, right away. It arrived intact and now I have two tubes of this great product.This lipstick goes on smooth with a matte finish. I don't have problems with it coming off on cups, etc., unless I over saturate/don't blot. This is also great under a lip gloss. If you tend to have dry lips, you may want to put a light coat of vitamin E or other "chapstick" type product on underneath. If you need all day coverage, bring the tube along for touch-ups. However, the deep red of "Port Wine" provides enough saturation, even at light applications, to get through several hours un-fussed with.I've already recommended this product to a friend for an upcoming event she's attending.
