Your eyes don't lie. And there not Lying now, but, there not telling us the truth either without a filter to see dirt and other airborn Contamanants. Is that what everyone is saying that for the money that this unit costs or any Air purifier that is filterless we are just supossed to take the companies word for it? I mean a little piece of mind goes a long way. **Q: Can we use an extension cord with it?** A: I see no reason not to. It is a standard household cord. **Q: The top seems very hot. Is this normal?** A: Yes, it stays warm all the time. I moved away from my bed because it warmed the room up enough to be uncomfortable at night. **Q: Can this unit be placed on a table in the living room, or must it be on the floor?** A: I think the manual tells you about this. But the unit should be placed in a bedroom because you are likely to spend more quite time there and there is likely to be less movement of air into and out of the room. As for the table, you must remember that the heater inside the unit heats up to over 400 degrees. For this reason, it's best to place the unit on the floor where the air is the coolest. I bought this during the pandemic to kill airborne viruses and hadn’t been using it until I had a leak in the laundry room this week and began using it to destroy mold spores in the air so glad I had kept it! People saying it doesn’t work for dust removal don’t understand the purpose of it. I already have hepa air filters but they don’t kill mold or viruses. This one serves its purpose and I am very happy to recommend it. There is a touch sensor above the logo on the side that turns off the light.Silent, and filterless, so you can plug it in and forget about it. A big drawback is that the blue light cannot be turned off, and it's bright at night.
