I am assuming they were put there by the vendor to draw attention to the product details. However - on a technical note. I have a Marantz 7012 flagship receiver and use this power cable . I have noticed some improvement in sound quality. On my high end equipment I use PS Audio power conditioners and a $169 power cord - these make a difference. You may want to try a PS audio Noise Harvester - on Amazon for about $99 - these things work! they will clean up AC line noise and make a greater improvement than the power cord by itself.
