It's a godsend for her. Having the actual day and date show (largely) is a big deal when you aren't sure if it's Tuesday or Thursday. Other clicks similar to this don't have the same format and large display. Be careful buying this since several companies buy these and private label them by putting their names on them-which can look really tacky if it's too large. I've bought 2 other different models prior to this one- this one is the best I've found. Bonus- clock is atomic clock and sets itself. Overall pros: big display, decent looking (available in black or white), self setting time and date, reasonably priced for the value and function and look. I've since bought four more and put them in my own home, have two in mom's apartment (one in kitchen and one in bedroom), and one at my office!
