I thought I had a leak but it was a clogged orifice / expansion valve - inexpensive, but you really need a manifold gage set and know how to interpret the high and low sides correctly. For a leak, I would rather use UV dye for a more pinpoint diagnosis. **Q: Do you need to add a UV dye to the refrigeration system to be able to detect leaks with this tool?** A: Dear customer, you can detect leaks without adding UV dye.
