Review: Great product. The only feature I use is the offset feature so that I can mount the unit to a mono stick and measure heights. Works great outside in the bright sunlight, usually had to issues hitting at least 50' when in the sun. Indoors in the dark it definitely goes a lot farther. One of the control buttons toggles measuring references once the measure function has been activated. Page 2 of the owner's manual locates this button. **Q: Does this X3 allow measurements to the nearest 1/8"?** A: I have the X4, which is the same laser. The X4 has the camera, where the X3 does not. On my X4, it will measure to 1/8", BUT you have to make sure you purchase the US version. Also note, that it will display oddly... it will say 2/8" instead of 1/4", or 4/8" instead of 1/2". It's annoying, but you get used to it. Hope this helps! **Q: Does this have a tripod port and timer?** A: yes to the tripod port. There is a timer function shown on the quick "cheat sheet' but I have no idea how to use it.
