Thanks for your interest in TRENDnet! No, it’s unmanaged. Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, you can always respond directly to this thread and someone will be happy to try and help answer any additional questions you may have! Have a great day! Adrian TRENDnet CS **Q: I bought a couple of these switch boxes and they arrived with power adapters that do not fit in a usa outlet. how do i fix this?** A: The power adapters come with an additional attachment in a little plastic bag in the box. That attachment inserts into the included power adapter and should be the correct attachment to fit into your countries power outlets. They designed it that way so they could sell this product in different countries and use the power adapter inserts to make it compatible with your countries power outlets. Make sure you look in the box and see if that power adapter insert piece is present. If it isn't, I'd return and get a replacement unit that does include it. **Q: Do ineed a separate dhcp router in order to generate ip addresses or will this unit generate ip addresses on it's own?** A: Yes. This is only a switch, not a router. You need to BYO DHCP server. **Q: Can my cable modem be connected to this switch?** A: If your "cable modem" also has a router, then yes. If they are separate, then it would be 'modem - router - switch. I do not know about trying to split the modem signal with this but it would pass-through. ## Frequently Bought Together - TRENDnet 5-Port Unmanaged 2.5G Gaming Switch, 5 x 2.5GBASE-T Ports, 25Gbps Switching Capacity, Backwards Compatible with 1000Mbps Devices, Fanless, Wall Mountable, Lifetime Protection, Black,TEG-S350 - TRENDnet 8-Port Unmanaged 2.5G Gaming Switch, 8 x 2.5GBASE-T Ports, 40Gbps Switching Capacity, Backwards Compatible with 1000Mbps Devices, Fanless, Wall Mountable, Lifetime Protection, Black, TEG-S380 - TP-Link 2.5GB PCIe Network Card (TX201) – PCIe to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter, Supports Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7, Win Server 2022/2019/2016, Linux --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/294684566-5-port-unmanaged-2-5g-gaming-switch-teg-s350-lifetime](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/294684566-5-port-unmanaged-2-5g-gaming-switch-teg-s350-lifetime) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
