The alkaline did OK (mixed at the highest concentation), but the acid did a better job. I am not a pro, but from what I have read, it is the type of dirt or stain that determines if the acid or the alkaline will do better. I wasn't sure, so I got a small amount of each. Acid won (and restored the grout to what it looks like in areas that have seen no foot traffic). ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not great, just ok *by H***D on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2013* I had to use this at twice the recommended rate for heavy duty cleaning with average results on grout that wasn't heavily soiled. I think some of the reviews on here must have been paid for, or submitted by the manufacturer.
