Review: Convenient Product for H.O.B. Usage - I wish this product came with the original unit when I purchased it, but alas this extension kit does a great job. I have not had any signs of leaking at all. I would recommend this product if you plan to use your product to hang on the back of your aquarium and you want the tubes to go directly down the back of the glass. Before using this product I could still have it hang on the back, but the tubes shot out towards the middle of my aquarium and I was constantly nervous that the weight on the tubes would cause the unit to leak.

I wish this product came with the original unit when I purchased it, but alas this extension kit does a great job. I have not had any signs of leaking at all. I would recommend this product if you plan to use your product to hang on the back of your aquarium and you want the tubes to go directly down the back of the glass. Before using this product I could still have it hang on the back, but the tubes shot out towards the middle of my aquarium and I was constantly nervous that the weight on the tubes would cause the unit to leak.

I came home one day to find a couple of gallons of water on the floor when the black rubber elbow blew a small pencil size hole in it and slowly leaked. My controller didn't pick up the leak and my ATO kept pumping new water into the tank. There was to much stress on the elbow. I bought this extension kit and it sits with no stress. Good product if you have your reactor in a odd ball area.
