There was a quarter-sized chunk of caramelized sugar/flavoring that was sharp and extremely hard (as in, I couldn't break it up). It looked like glass but it dissolved (albeit slowly) in water. I suppose this can happen with any manufactured product but it turned me off to this flavor. The company also admits it on their web page.
