I was recently diagnosed with plantar fascitis and I needed a slipper with arch support. These were exactly what I was looking for. They look and feel like a slipper and have great support. They do shed a little at first, but I saw the other posts and knew to expect that, so I vacuumed them when I received them. After a few wears, the shedding stopped. So, not big deal.
