    Good family low calorie baking

I think this is a great book if you want to bake lower calorie bakes for your family.It doesn't rely on artificial sweeteners, but rather on fruits and other things to make the bakes lower calorie. The recipes are not too complicated, with no difficult to find ingredients. They are also simple and traditional, which I think suit all members of a family well.I'm only giving it 4 stars however because I think that the cakes and other things that are baked in one, are unrealistically portioned up. The calorie count is low on the bakes on these because it relies on you splitting a cake into 10 or 12 portions, which in my view is a bit unrealistic. Of course you could double the portions and double the calorie count if you wanted to.The things that are baked in small individual portions however, such as cupcakes and muffins seem much more realistic in terms of portion size. There are lots of these recipes and I think it's worth buying the book just for them.

Justine's recipes work for me, time after time. I have used over a  hundred of her diet series recipes with  no real failures. The four recipes  that I have tried from this  book are of the same standard. However, as with all recipes  do be aware of weight and sizes of ingredients.
