From the BMC Toys AMERICAN HERO COLLECTOR SERIES, the greatest invasion in military history: The D-DAY June 6, 1944 34 piece plastic army men set features 14 American GIs in od green, 8 British Tommies in tan, 10 German Soldiers in gray, and 2 black mortars. This set features character figures of Brigadier General Teddy Roosevelt Jr., Brigadier Lord Lovat, Sergeant Harrison Summers, and Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.Made from flexible LDPE plastic with medium detail and very little flashing, figures stand up to 2.45 inches tall and are about 1:32nd scale.BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic style of the 1950s and 1960s.Packaged in polybag with header card and recommended for ages 5 and up. The 2017 release features all new header card art.

Review: Great Detail! - These Figures are great for anyone's armies! The United States Army has some nice sculpts, ( My favorite being the heavy machine Gunner). The Germans are pretty cool too, my favorite is the kneeling guy with the Mp40, but If you get this set be aware to get some 88' flak guns because one of the sculpts is built for him to be operating it. The best part of this set is the British. The British soldiers are awesome, But the best one has to be Lord Lovat. He is really cool. The 36 piece count is great too, Especially for the low price! The plastic is extremely durable but flexible, so It is Just right. I personally would recommend this to anyone who wants great toy soldiers. I will be buying again.

**Q: R these soliders the same size of the regular army men**
A: There is no standard size for army men, they are made in all different sizes. There are some common scales, but even those can vary be open to interpretation. Your best bet is to hold your figures next to a US quarter, then compare to the scale photo we include with all of our figures.

**Q: Are the soldier’s helmets as high on their heads as the pictures? They look weird.**
A: Yes, the original maker of these, BMC screwed these up years ago by placing the helmets of both the American and German soldiers helmets way too high up on their heads. Puzzling how nobody noticed this before producing the molds. A real shame because otherwise they are decent.

Their Marine sculpt's helmets on the other hand are far more accurate.

**Q: are they worth the money ?**
A: Yeah, they're definitely worth the money.  The soldiers are decently detailed, but pale in comparision to the more high end soldiers.  The "plastic" is a bit brittle, so you have to be careful about stepping on the soldiers, lest you break off a weapon, arm or leg in the process.  My seven year old loves them and I guess that's the real litmus test of whether they're worth the money.

A: This product is made in China at the same factory that has been manufacturing the BMC Toys line for over 20 years.
