It's not designed to be used or treated like graphite but its pigment is strong with power and won't require intensive pressure to draw with. Just perfect for laying in roughs before committing with a soft graphite clean up.Additionally along with the blue, these are top grade lead sticks! I cannot understand the controversy behind these coloured sticks unless others have sat on them, stabbed them onto paper, bent them or forgot to purchase a 2mm mechanical pencil holder.
