The velcro makes it easy to focus on what I want and allow air flow to where I don’t. I am claustrophobic but this blanket doesn’t bother me like some others that zips up. You will pay more for this but it is is worth it. It has some weight to it which is comforting. Since they recommend use of the floor I put a heavy blanket underneath it and propped up some pillows for my neck and that works out very well. Definitely use a towel to lay on within the blanket because you will sweat and don’t want to be uncomfortable with the heat. I like a higher temperature and didn’t use a full towel and found myself shifting around a bit so just use the towel. It will feel like it’s taking time to warm up but trust me you aren’t missing anything. I know this is a little more expensive but you will not be disappointed. I bought a lesser expensive version and was not good. There is no comparison. For pain and inflammation, I could feel my joints releasing in this blanket and swelling going down. Can you put it on your bed to sleep on?** A: The one I have goes up to 75 Celsius (equivalent to 167 Fahrenheit) and the maximum time setting is at 60 minutes. I purchased the plastic bags to lay in so I don't ruin my Sauna blanket. **Q: Do you lay on this or does it wrap around you?** A: You can lay it out flat all the way open. Then You lay on the right side of blanket then it comes over you and closes with Velcro. It is very strong Velcro and works really great. I will close it with Velcro on bottom and half way up then slip into it. You can do it which ever way is easiest for you. I went to a tanning salon and used their infrared blanket and it worked good but it was very uncomfortable and not very convenient. I saw this on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I have had it over a year and I love it. Much better to have your own in your home so if you need to use the bathroom you can without worrying about the time will be wasted and you do not get what you paid for. Also after the use of the wrap you can go in immediately and shower. Since you need to drink a lot of water before using the blanket and during these things are a great help to have close. This Sauna Blanket also gets to as low or high as you might want so you can set it to your liking and needs. So, I watched youtube videos. The blanket does not heat up. I finally called customer care. This is what the customer service rep told me: "I do apologize ma'am, but we always tell people to buy the product directly from us and not Amazon, because we cannot help you. Business is business and we always tell people to not buy from Amazon but from us directly. " Hmmmm, maybe someone should tell Amazon about this feedback.
