## Description

GMA-05 Alternator Repair Kit for Delco AD230, AD237, AD244 Series IR/IF Alternators used on (1999-2010) AM General, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab.

Review: Not for the impatient or inexperienced - Need to be pretty highly experienced with soldering to install this. Also the average soldering iron will NOT work. Needs to be 200w or higher.
Review: Good kit. - This rebuild was more difficult than I was expecting and I've done a couple before. You'll have to desolder and resolder the diodes. The bearing is also very difficult to remove from the housing. The bearing is held in with a rolled edge, so I had to cut the lip with a dremel, then pound it out. I rebuilt my alternator 10 months ago and the kit works well and saved me some money.

Need to be pretty highly experienced with soldering to install this. Also the average soldering iron will NOT work. Needs to be 200w or higher.

This rebuild was more difficult than I was expecting and I've done a couple before. You'll have to desolder and resolder the diodes. The bearing is also very difficult to remove from the housing. Correct parts but rebuilding this alternator must have field wires unsoldered to take the case apart to install these parts. More work than I really wanted to do. Older alternators were made to overhaul easier. Next time I will just buy a complete alternator.
