While I cannot speak to personal preference regarding how the finished product would taste in comparison, i.e.--using pods vs. an espresso maker, the coffee is the same. The grind should be more fine for the espresso machine compared to the pods, but both should have a smooth aftertaste. **Q: Is it compatible with espresso machines?** A: Dear M.
