It says age 10- but it doesn't even fit over my 8 year olds teeth.** A: Hi,Thanks for checking out an item we offer within our Amazon store. We have been selling these for about 15 years in our retail stores as well as online and the 10 and under guideline is a good guideline. It is just a guideline though. We have had 12 year olds who have a smaller head and mouth prefer the youth and 7/8 year old who have bigger than average heads/mouths that need the adult. After they are custom fit per the instructions you will also get a much better fit, and if you need to get an adult size you can trim that size down in the length too.
