I finally settled on a combination of Neutrogena/Nivea which did away with most of the red and some of the dry effects. More recently a friend mentioned Blaviar to me and when I saw the cream's consistency in his hands, I knew I just had to try it. It's exceptionally rich and creamy and absorbs really well despite it being alcohol-free. Over the past few weeks, it has calmed my skin like no other product has ever before. It has a bunch of ingredients that you want on your skin like aloe vera, argan oil and macadamia nut and skips on everything that you wouldn't want like parabens, sulfates, phthalates and formaldehyde. But the most surprising thing for me about this product was actually its scent, which is on par with the most sophisticated designer fragrances out there. This is truly a hidden gem... The off-tint yellowish color was pretty unsettling to me (which is probably not a problem for most customers) and the smell was too strong for me. Normally when I get aftershave, I want to feel cool and clean. However, the texture of the aftershave kind of felt like it was sticking to my face and the feeling didn't disappear for a while. Also the bottle is really poorly designed since it is such a liquid-y texture. Being in a squeeze bottle is bad because the natural instinct is to turn it down and apply pressure to squeeze out whatever is inside. Since this is basically liquid, when you turn it down, it comes pouring out, and just the pressure from holding the bottle squirts out way more than intended.Those were some of the minor things that I noticed, the main point why I didn't like this (and this is purely opinion based) is the smell. I just couldn't get over how different it smelled versus other aftershaves I've used.
