Also, do these need to be kept refrigerated?** A: The manufacturer says 1 for a 25 pound dog and as yours is 9 lbs. then somewhere around 1/3 of a chew should be sufficient. They should be stored in a cool dry setting, no need to refrigerate. Our dogs enjoy them and have never had a bad reaction from them. **Q: Is it soft chews or hard?
