Claimed 400rms @ 1ohm but dynos to almost 500. Would this be a good match or do i need to go up to the p3?** A: It would definitely work. If your worried about blowing the sub, don’t max out the gain setting! If you want to go with the P3 (600 watts RMS) that amp, if it is tested at 500 watts rms, would work as well and you wouldn’t have to worry about your sub blowing. Hope that helps **Q: what amp would work best** A: I got the p1000x5 but I blew the p2 1x12 in a week. Only because I was playing it for to long and wayyyy to loud. Then I got the p2 2x12 and now I can bump for as loud and as long as I want I blast my system everyday and it has NEVER failed me I love Rockfordhaha but I don't think you need an amp that big just for the one ;) the p2 1x12 is a solid sub though.
