After assembly, which was quite easy, I bolted a piece of plywood down to the floor. My log splitter is 170 lb so I didn't think the floor would be able to take the weight for very long without the plywood, which will now evenly distribute the weight. I was thankful the log splitter already had two holes at the base of the handle area for me to be able to bolt it to the floor. I don't think it's going to go anywhere. I live in the north, so I'm anxious for the spring to come so I can give my new cart and new log splitter a good workout. Will just slide the handle down on the cart, hook it up to my riding mower and off I go. I'm 73 years old so I'm not able to lug that splitter around without the cart. Would the mesh be strong enough? It's a few hundred pounds.** A: I have two such carts, this one and one I purchased from Harbor Freight, both are same size, but the Harbor Freight one has no sides to it. I have my 230 lb generator on it, and it works great, easy to pull. However, the mesh started to break from the legs of the generator. If you are buying this for a heavy generator, cut a board the size of the flat bed, and then put a generator on it. If your gene3rator is not as heavy as mine, it might just work for you. Hope this helps! **Q: Does the rear "tailgate" fold down, or only lift off?** A: Each of the sides lifts off. At first, I thought it would be best to have the sides fold down as well. However, this weekend we were working on a project in which we moved river rock from one location to another. My husband loaded the medium size river rock into two large tubs within the cart. We then pulled the cart to the new location for the rock. Lifting off the sides made it easy to pull the cart close to the destination, tip the heavy tubs over and let the rocks fall out. **Q: Will it fit inside the back of my Jeep?** A: Don't know what kind of jeep you have and it you mean put together, but it's 49-inch long x 24.5 wide without the length of the handle which can be disconnected with a pin. **Q: Can the handle sit flat on the flatbed when the sides are removed for easy transporting?** A: The handle will lower closer to the bed of the cart with front side panel is removed however, it will not sit flat on the bed of cart. I need to adjust the tubes in a couple of the wheels as the valve stems are askew and I don't want a tear in the tubes - that's the only thing I could see as being an issue.
