Her theme is celestial. Galaxy. Planets and sparkly stars. But also formal. Not like a hippie wedding. More Big Bang. I'm very self conscious about gaining a lot of weight since I have seen a lot of the people who will be attending the wedding. I wanted something loose and flowy without looking like a moo-moo. My favorite color is purple but I opted for the dark blue batik. The color is exactly how it looks online. The fabric (Rayon) is soft yet substantial. Not like a cover up. Like a real garment. I ordered the 4X because I've ordered a few other things in what I though would be big enough for me but instead turned out to be too small. I can't describe how relieved I am to have something to wear that I will feel comfortable in. I am going to accessorize with some sparkly jewelry and a pair of Swarovski embellished flip flops. :) I will probably order another one in a different color, just because I love this so much. I think it will photograph well also. 5 Stars!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Addition to the Coronavirus Stay at Home Wardrobe *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2020* I am back to buy another one. I had looked everywhere for a nice rayon, batik caftan to replace one that I bought years ago but after overuse during this corona season had to go. The fabric is perfect. Falls beautifully. The sides are stitched in my least favorite way for a caftan, with 2.5 inches of extra fabric on the outside of the seam but because the fabric falls so nicely it doesn't make my hips look larger than they are so I can live with it. I am short (5'3") and the caftan fringe drags the ground but I will eventually have it hemmed so that is not a problem. The sizing was perfect for me otherwise. This is a high quality garment for the price. Perfect for those corona days when you want to look good but are going nowhere...UPDATE: I tried an experiment and washed the caftan in cold water but dried it with low heat in the dryer. Yes, I knew it would shrink up but I had plenty of room width-wise and I wanted to see if it would shrink length-wise...enough so I could keep the fringe and not hem it up. It did! Still fits and now it is not too long. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Color not as expected - Soft and comfortable *by F***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2020* I ordered two of this pattern and one more of the ethic ones. They are soft and comfortable and the fabric is very good quality and not the see through thin variety you see often in caftans. All good. The color on this as of June 2020 is nothing at all like the color pictured. MY caftan is a somber dusky green with no vibrancy like the photo. Still a very usable item, just not "as pictured".When I tried this on out of the package it didn't seem roomy enough and wasn't as long as I expected, not quite touching the ground (I am about 5 feet 1 these days). BUT very oddly, when I washed this and the other in cold water in the machine and then hung to dry on a hanger , not only did the caftans get longer (I am guessing from the wet weight and hanging) they seem to also get bigger. This is a puzzle, but passing along the info in case it helps someone decide.They look like they will last a long time. The neck hole is generous. I would like it a big deeper but that is a personal choice.
